Support
We are a small non-profit team. We read everything, and we prioritise anything involving safety.
This is not an emergency service. If someone needs urgent medical care, go to a hospital or call Rescue 1122 or Edhi Ambulance 115. Do not wait for a reply from us.
Report a safety problem
The fastest way is in the app — every request, chat and profile has a report option, and reports arrive with the context we need to act.
Report someone immediately if they:
- ask you for money — for blood, for "transport", for anything. Paying for blood is a crime in Pakistan and we ban these accounts permanently.
- post a fake or exaggerated blood request
- impersonate a patient, a doctor, a hospital, or a charity
- harass you, threaten you, or contact you for anything other than the donation
- misuse your personal information or contact you outside the app
If you cannot use the app, email support@qatras.app with the subject "Safety report". We aim to respond to safety reports fastest.
Common questions
Nobody has responded to my request. What now?
Qatra keeps widening the search and alerting more donors automatically — you do not need to do anything. But please do not rely on it: keep working with the hospital and your own contacts at the same time. We depend on volunteers, and we can never guarantee that someone will respond.
I am not getting notifications
Check that notifications are enabled for Qatra in your phone's settings, and that battery optimisation is not restricting the app in the background — this is the usual cause on Android. Qatra's emergency alerts are designed to come through even in Do Not Disturb, but only if the app is allowed to notify you at all.
Is Qatra really free?
Yes. Free forever, for donors and patients alike — fee sabilillah. There are no charges, no premium tier and no ads. We never take payment, and we never facilitate payment for blood.
Do I have to share my phone number?
No. Your number is hidden by default. Qatra has in-app chat and in-app calling so you can arrange a donation without either person giving out their number.
How do you know a request is real?
Every account is verified by phone. Requesters can also attach the doctor's blood requisition slip they receive at the hospital, and donors can see when a request has that proof attached. We ban accounts that post fake requests.
Am I eligible to donate?
Generally you need to be 17–65, weigh at least 50 kg, and it must have been at least three months since your last donation. Qatra tracks this for you so you do not make a wasted trip. But only the licensed centre can decide whether you are fit to donate, and its decision always overrides anything the app shows.
Someone asked me to donate directly, not at a hospital
Refuse, and report them. Blood must only ever be donated at a licensed hospital or blood bank, where it is screened. Direct person-to-person transfer is dangerous and unlawful.
My account was banned and I think it was a mistake
Email support@qatras.app from the number you registered with and we will review it. We would rather correct a mistake than leave someone locked out.
I want to delete my account
See Delete your account — you can do it in the app, or by email without reinstalling.

Want to help?
Qatra is a non-profit public service and it only works when enough people are registered. The most useful thing you can do is register as a donor and keep your availability up to date — a donor who responds is worth more than a hundred who never do.
If you would like to organise a donation drive, partner with us, or contribute, write to support@qatras.app.
